Maintenance oversight, from the owner's side

Quest Air acts as the owner's representative when an aircraft goes in for a scheduled inspection or heavy check at an MRO or service centre. We review the work scope, compare quotes, watch progress on site, keep downtime and budget under control, and accept the aircraft back with a test flight and repositioning home. Our focus is Gulfstream, with Bombardier Globals on request.

What we oversee

  • Scheduled inspections and heavy checks at MROs and manufacturer or independent service centres.

  • Gulfstream focus: G650, G700, G800 and earlier Gulfstream types.

  • Bombardier Global family on request.

From work scope to return to service

  • Work-scope review: checking the planned scope against the inspection programme and the owner's add-on items before the aircraft arrives.

  • Quote comparison: requesting and comparing quotes from service centres on a like-for-like basis.

  • On-site progress monitoring: regular presence at the facility, tracking findings, additional work and schedule.

  • Downtime and budget control: approving or challenging additional work on the owner's behalf and keeping the return date in view.

  • Records review: checking the work packages and aircraft records before the aircraft is released.

  • Acceptance and test flights: an experienced captain's acceptance, including test flights where required.

  • Repositioning: flying the aircraft to and from the MRO.

Why Quest Air

  • A captain's eye. Oversight by a corporate captain with 13,280 hours who flies the Gulfstream G700 and has captain experience on the G650.

  • Independent of the facility. We work for the owner, not the service centre.

  • One point of contact from induction to the aircraft's return to base.

Note

Quest Air does not perform maintenance and holds no maintenance organisation approvals. All maintenance is performed, certified and released by the approved maintenance organisation; Quest Air oversees the project on the owner's behalf.
